Are you getting bored of Call of Duty: Black Ops already? Well if you are, don’t put down those controllers just yet. Treyarch’s Dan Bunting appeared on Major Nelson’s podcast yesterday to discuss Black Ops’ future DLC. The DLC is set to hit the Marketplace sometime February and is planned to contain four new multiplayer maps as well as one additional Zombie map. If what Dan Bunting says is accurate, fans will only have to wait out about 2 months until they can get their hands on 5 new maps.
The four multiplayer maps are as followed: “Stadium,” a hockey rink based map; “Kowloon,” a map that takes place on a rooftop; the “Berlin Wall”; and “Discovery,” set in an abandoned Antarctic research facility. “Ascension” is the title of the additional Zombie map.
“On this map pack, we focused a lot more on providing variety of weaponry, variety of engagement, … [and] a lot more verticality, bringing some sniper opportunities to it,” Bunting said on the podcast (Gamasutra).
Like the previous two Modern Warfare 2 DLC’s, this DLC will also cost $15. The DLC will be available to Xbox 360 users before being available to Playstation 3 and PC users.
